The Beast from the East and Storm Emma added a new dimension to our exhaustive research of café lattes and hot pasties – extended this year to marine knitwear and maritime waterproofs. Corner Cottage did not let us down in terms of warmth and cosiness. Thank you for your generous hospitality and for calling to check that we were OK. More than okay – we had a lovely holiday. Heading North to wrestle with the Pest from the West….
Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful house. Our stay has been wonderful. The beds are so comfortable and we slept very well. The shower is lovely and hot and it all works well. Great food at the Beach Restaurant. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Beer and Bird have great buckets of chicken wings and we love the fact that you can walk everywhere and it is right on your doorstep. We have now stayed here 7 times and we hope to come again.
The living room was ideal for us and the kitchen was surprisingly big and roomy. The front bedroom was lovely, light and fresh and the back bedroom cosy but darker. Not a problem. There was plenty of storage for clothes. All in all, we'd love to come back. Just need to check our dates and Corner Cottage's availability.
This cottage is one of the nicest we have stayed in. So close to everything. The cottage was warm and cosy and is done up very tastefully. The kitchen was my favourite place. Deceptively big with everything you need including a tumble drier.
Corner Cottage was an absolute delight to stay in & really made our first trip to St Ives a dream. The location of the cottage couldn't be any better - right in the center of the town & being within walking distance of all of the main shops, restaurants, harbour & beaches was brilliant (especially being 7 months pregnant!). Porthmeor beach was within 30 seconds walk from the cottage & was lovely to pop down there a few times a day to watch the surfers & go to Porthmeor Beach Cafe (which serves up a great breakfast!). The cottage itself was very well presented, clean, comfortable & the kitchen was well equipped to be able to cook an evening meal (which we did very rarely as the restaurants in St Ives are excellent). Julie was an excellent host & met us on our arrival to show us into the cottage. She even popped into the back of our car to show us how to navigate the one way streets around St Ives to find the allocated parking space. I can't say how useful the parking space was - being able to leave St Ives for day trips & knowing that you had your own safe car parking space to come back to was excellent (I can imagine in the peak season that finding a long term parking space could be an issue). Communication with Julie was great - she was quick to respond to messages & returned our damage deposit very quickly also. We wouldn't hesitate to re-book Corner Cottage again on our next trip to St Ives & would most definitely recommend booking this cottage over others we had looked at.
We had a great week at Corner Cottage in St Ives. The cottage is in a great location close to great beaches and restaurants and is very well appointed and a decent size too. Two good sized bedrooms, a lovely bathroom, very comfortable lounge and beautiful dining kitchen. The cottage was very clean and we felt very welcome. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone and would happily come back again.
We had a lovely time in corner cottage it was like home from home, every room was very clean, cosy and comfortable, we would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who would want to stay in st ives as the town is only a 2 minute walk away. We would stay in this cottage again.
Corner Cottage is a gorgeous character cottage with everything you could wish, for a comfortable stay in this amazing holiday destination. We were impressed by the owners who replied very promptly to a request for a lighter weight duvet, providing one very quickly. The cottage is very well equipped warm and cosy with a living flame gas fire which we benefited from, our visit being in October! The cottage was very clean and well kept, the decor of a high standard. We particularly benefitted from the designated car park space in a car park not too far from the cottage, this was great saving us time and money! The cottage is in the Digey which is central to St Ives and minutes from Fore St the main shopping street and also from Porthmeor beach which pleased the surfing husbands! Amazing to walk to and from the beach in the wetsuit, board in hand!!! No driving involved! The cottage is very close to all the amenities, cafes and coffee shops. It is a thoroughfare from the harbour to Porthmeor Beach and the 'Tate' gallery, but this didn't cause any issues 'noise wise'. The fact that the cottage is up a flight of steps accessed outside, meant that we felt very private as passers by couldn't see into the rooms. There is a view of the sea from the front door which was lovely! We would highly recommend this cottage as a place to stay...unless, of course, its the weeks we want for our next visit..we will fight you for it!!!
This was a lovely, clean and traditional cottage. The location was fantastic, minutes to the beaches, restaurants and shops. Parking was a gift, especially in St Ives! I would highly recommend it for your stay and we will certainly return.
Another return to this excellent cottage. Enjoyed my birthday with my family. Weather reasonable for the time of the year. Once again recommend the steaks at the Sloop. Made very welcome at Cafe Art in the Drill Hall. Made more friends on this holiday. Will be back.
What a delight, from the moment we arrived, and walked through the door, we fell in love with this charming, well presented cottage. Everything you needed had been thought about, and what a bonus to have both quality equipment, and tasteful decor, this rarely happens in our past experiences!! Lovely comfortable bed, great bath, we could go on and on, but all this plus sun every day, has made our holiday at Corner Cottage one to remember, and to repeat. Thank you once again Julie and Jayne
Beautifully attired cottage which delivers on everything you expect for a Cornish retreat. Smashing location for exploring the cobbled streets and beaches of St Ives . Great bonus of washing machine and dryer which came in use thanks to typical autumnal weather!
Really lovely cottage and great location! Although close in proximity to neighbours you have a lot of privacy as you're raised off ground floor. Easy check-in and a car parking space in the middle of St Ives - priceless!
Linda's place is a lovely cottage in the heart of St Ives, all the beaches and Main Town are on the doorstep. Very comfortable and Spotlessly clean and everything you would need is provided. Parking permit a bonus. We loved staying here and would not hesitate to visit again.
